July 2011
As part of our recent showroom renovation of kitchen and bath cabinetry, much of our existing cabinetry and appliances were to be sold in order to make room for newly designed styles of Westwood Fine Cabinetry products.

To make the most of this opportunity, our Senior Sales Designer, Cory Anthony, proposed the idea of a fundraiser to benefit local charities. In keeping with the Christmas season, the campaign was called "Stuff a Stocking."

Patrons to our showroom were invited to put in a bid on showroom cabinets and/or appliances that were displayed with a "Stocking", hence the name "Stuff A Stocking" campaign. The highest bidder was able to purchase the cabinets and/or appliances, with the entire purchase price donated to local charities.

In total, just short of $12,000 was raised. This was donated to the Kelowna SPCA & the Kelowna Community Food Bank (KCFB). On May 11, 2011, Sabrina Fedorak from the Kelowna SPCA and Vonnie Lavers, Executive Director of the KCFB, were each presented with a cheque in the amount of $5913 by Angela Norman & Cory Anthony from Westwood Fine Cabinetry.

Shortly after this presentation, another showroom display was sold for $2000. Additional cheques of $1000 were again offered to the two organizations. Presenting the cheque to the Kelowna Community Food Bank was Mary Lou Hawke & Anne Woods from Westwood Fine Cabinetry at the Downtown Business After Hours event hosted at KCFB on June 29, 2011. The presentation to the Kelowna SPCA was made July 27, 2011 to Suzanne Pugh, Branch Manager Kelowna SPCA by Angela Norman and Cory Anthony from Westwood Fine Cabinetry.

Westwood Fine Cabinetry employees and owners are pleased to be proud supporters of these worthwhile community charities.
